Decontaminate, then protect.
A wash removes what is loose. Florida paint carries what is bonded — rail dust, fallout, sap, love bugs baked on by the sun. The exterior service takes that off with clay and iron remover first, so the protection that goes on last actually sticks.
Clay and iron
The clay bar pulls bonded grit out of the clear coat; the iron remover dissolves the brake dust you can see turn purple. The paint goes from rough to glass under your fingertips.
Wax or sealant
Applied by hand, panel by panel, and buffed off. It is the layer that makes water bead, keeps the sun off the clear coat and makes the next wash a ten-minute job.

Most of it is included in the exterior service. Two fixes are add-ons, and two are studio work.
Love bug residue on the bumper and mirrors
Included: bug, tar and grime removal by hand. Book soon after each season — the residue is acidic and marks the clear coat if it sits.
Water spots from rain and sprinklers
Fresh spots come off with the wash and decontamination. Spots already etched into the clear coat need machine polishing — that is paint correction, done at the studio.
Faded, chalky black trim
Trim Revival (+$55): plastic trim restoration for the gray trim the sun leaves on bumpers, mirrors and cowls.
A dusty, greasy engine bay
Showroom Engine (+$65): engine bay detailing, added to the same visit.
Swirl marks and dull paint
Wax adds gloss but does not remove swirls. Removing them is paint correction at our downtown studio, quoted after inspection.
How long the protection lasts
The hand-applied wax or sealant in this service lasts up to 3 months. For years, with a written warranty, see ceramic coating.

What is included in exterior detailing?
Gloss & Protect is a two-bucket hand wash, wheels and tires cleaned by hand, bug, tar and grime removal, a clay-bar and iron-remover decontamination of the paint, a no-sling tire finish and a hand-applied wax or sealant that protects the paint for up to three months.
What does it cost?
Gloss & Protect is $139 for a sedan, $149 for an SUV, $159 for a truck and $169 for a large SUV. If the interior needs the visit too, Signature Shine covers both and starts at $209 for a sedan.
Is it a mobile service?
Yes. The van carries its own water and power, so the work happens at your driveway, office parking lot or apartment garage anywhere in the Orlando area. Nothing gets plugged into your house.
What is a clay bar and why does it matter?
A clay bar lifts bonded contamination — rail dust, industrial fallout, tree sap residue, overspray — that a wash leaves behind. The paint feels rough before and glass-smooth after, and it is the reason the wax or sealant bonds properly and lasts.
Does it remove swirl marks?
No. Swirls and oxidation live in the clear coat and need paint correction, which is machine polishing. Gloss & Protect cleans, decontaminates and protects the paint; it does not cut it. If you want swirls gone, book paint correction and the wax comes after.
How long does the protection last?
The hand-applied wax or sealant protects for up to three months in Florida conditions. For protection measured in years instead of months, ceramic coating is the studio service built for that.
